I live in the wonderful town of Cohasset, MA, which is 40 minutes south of Boston right on the Atlantic coast. We moved to Cohasset almost one year ago when my son, Matty, was less than a year old.
Professionally I am an economist and former educator of economics. I write children's poetry and stories for me and my son, Matty. One of my favorite times with Matty is our nighttime routine, which includes reading story after story until he gets tired, with several stories repeated four or five times. Through this process, I've come to appreciate the rhythm, structure, and articulation of children's poetry, whether that's in a story book or a book of poems.
In this blog, I write down poetic versions of our adventures - Matty and Mommy! Most of these poems are based on my relationship with my son, Matty. Many of these poems are based on actual places in and around Boston and Cohasset or experiences we share together at home.
